At 360 Fitness, we believe fitness is about much more than simply seeing the number on the scales go down.

Our clients have different goals, but for many people fat loss is an important part of their journey. Alongside this, we want them to become stronger, fitter and more confident.

That’s why our training doesn’t focus solely on burning calories. We also put a big emphasis on strength training and building muscle.

Why is strength training important?

Getting stronger helps you build and maintain muscle while working towards your fat-loss goals. It also allows you to gradually increase the amount of weight you can lift, improve your physical fitness and feel more capable in everyday life.

This is particularly important as we get older. Maintaining muscle and strength can help support mobility, physical function and independence as we age.

Progress isn’t always measured on the scales

A successful fitness journey isn’t just about losing kilograms.

Sometimes the biggest signs of progress are:

  • Lifting a heavier weight than you could before
  • Performing more repetitions
  • Feeling stronger and more confident
  • Improving your fitness
  • Moving better
  • Building and maintaining muscle

Our 8-week strength blocks give our clients the opportunity to focus specifically on getting stronger and seeing just how much they can progress.

Why Getting Stronger Is Important for Fat Loss

Seeing one of our clients go from lifting 20kg to 30kg, or adding another 20kg to an exercise, is exactly the type of progress we want to celebrate.

Fat loss can be part of the journey, but becoming stronger is just as important.

At 360 Fitness, our aim is to help our clients become stronger, fitter and healthier for life — not simply lighter.
